Work therapy

A space to think about your working life

Work can be a source of purpose, connection, and growth — but it can also be a place where stress, conflict, or uncertainty take root. When difficulties at work begin to affect your confidence, relationships, or wellbeing, therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Work therapy integrates psychodynamic thinking with practical support. Together, we explore both the external situation and the internal patterns that shape how you respond, relate, and make decisions.

Before training as a therapist I worked for many years in different roles in academic settings, private, public, and charity sectors. I have extensive experience coaching people from different levels and roles.

I now draw on my psychotherapy training, coaching training and extensive experience in organisations to support people in their working life. I have a deep understanding of what it is to work in organisations today.

We can work together on the following:

  • Burnout and chronic stress

  • Workplace bullying and toxic environment

  • Career review and direction finding

  • Confidence and self esteem at work

  • Redundancy and job loss

  • Managing people and leadership challenges

  • Career transitions and promotions

  • Retirement and identity shifts

I offer up to 12 sessions for work therapy. Please get in touch if you’d like to talk about whether this could be helpful for you.

Free introductory call & initial consultation

I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call or online.

We can talk about your therapy needs and then if you’re happy to proceed, we can arrange an initial consultation.

In the initial consultation, we can explore in more depth what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. I can also answer any questions you might have at this stage. We will also talk about confidentiality, means of communication, what you need to do if you want to cancel a session, fees, etc.
